This is a blog site for my persona in the Society for Creative Anachronism and provides a way to organize and share my research and art. Andromeda Lykaina is a 4th century BC Spartan woman. I am primarily interested in historical Greek clothing, painting, and dance. I have been amazed at the parallels between some modern belly dance elements and descriptions and depictions of Greek dance, which I’ve documented in my Kymbala and Krotala and Zils…oh my! post and Elements of Dance from Pre-17th Century Mediterranean and Near East Regions paper.
