Athena’s chiton on the Amphora of Herakles and Athena by the Berlin painter was inspiration for the composition of “stacked bands” near the bottom of the teal chiton [1]. Herakles’ tunic on the name vase of the Pronomos painter served as inspiration for the wave and palmette patterns [2]. The Amphora by Exekias shows the use of Vergina suns on a garment [3]. Europa has countercomponey on the bottom hem of her chiton shown on Europa on the bull by Asteas [4].
